So, what will you win? One LUCKY person will win a $50 gift certificate to the store!!!! No requirements other than share your picture with us of something CREATIVELY PINK. You have until Wednesday at noon (EST) to send it. Next Friday, we’ll share all the pictures and the winner!

So, here I am again, doing that “did you know?” thing!
I wanted to make sure that everyone is able to always communicate with us. Sometimes, we may not get your emails due to weird spam deals, lost in space email suckers, or whatever reason!
Our goal here is to ALWAYS answer your emails within 24 hours! Unless, of course, we have announced on the store’s homepage or here on the blog that we’re going to be gone. BUT, if for SOME STRANGE reason, you do NOT hear from us, we want you to post here on the blog, or visit our Flickr Group and post a new thread on that little message board found over there for our group.
We’ve been working with an online type store for a few years and have experience in this sort of thing. We’ve found in the past that customers who may use email like aol or hotmail or yahoo are the ones MOST common to faulty email communication. Sometimes, they are great! But, often times, we’ll reply to one of the emails and never hear back – and come to find out, those email programs have eaten our email and you never see it! BUMMER, eh?
We hope you’ll do a little favor for us and make sure your email programs will accept email from pinkinkstudios.com because we want you to NEVER miss a beat! But, as stated above, always always try another method with us!
Our goal here is to make you happy! Now, with that being said, we can’t thank you enough for making Pink Ink Studios a SUPER success!

Type of Pictures You Take… I don’t know if I really have a specified type. The images that really speak to me are those unscripted moments, most often in the details or edges of a scene. The forgotten or overlooked things that really make up our human experience, but we don’t realize how much they meant until they’re gone. I love capturing those moments and bringing them to life for people.
My style really is constantly changing. I tend to hyperfocus on things and really go at it until I find a new thing to focus on. The only real constant I see in my work is the type of lighting I look for. Most of my photos use dramatic/moody lighting, and a lot of contrast. The pictures I display in my own home are almost all B/W, I am just drawn to them. I do love good color photos, but I find myself going back to B/W most of the time because it seems to speak more to what I usually am trying to say with my photographs.
Your Camera… Canon 30d
Your Favorite Camera Equipment… Well, besides the lenses.. Photoshop…. I’m a bit of a PS geek 
If you could only use one lens what would it be? Right now I have a rented 24-70L and have extended the rental twice… I just can’t seem to send it back! I think this one is next on my list to buy!
How do you stay motivated? There are times that I really get tired of the business side of photography, the dealing with mundane details and all the stuff that goes into running a business. But every time I finish a shoot and get to load the pictures onto my computer and see them, the rush I get from seeing my art and vision come to life is enough to help me push through the boring stuff. I also have an amazing husband who supports me 100% and lets me cry and complain to him when I’m being a baby.
How long have you been a photographer? I got the photography bug almost 4 ½ years ago, when my oldest child was born (yep, another MWAC here!).. since then it has evolved into a totally personal thing, something that I don’t know how I would function day to day without. The fact that I can actually make a living doing it is just icing on the cake!
If you could choose anyone to do a photoshoot of you/your family, who would your choose? Honestly, I have no idea. There is so many amazing photographers out there that it would be hard for me to really chose one. I’d chose any one of the awesome people I’ve gotten to know online (and off) in the photography community during my journey.
Magazine Must Have… I think the only magazines I get are Rangefinder, After Capture, and Photoshop User.. I read those when I’m in the bathtub :p
Guilty Pleasure… Dr. Pepper. Gotta have it every day! (girl after my own heart!)
What Do You Do When You First Wake Up? Same thing every morning.. get the baby some milk and breakfast, get Lilly a waffle, turn on cartoons, check email!
When It Rains… I love the smell, but hate the muddy doggie prints on the floor!

Favorite Pink Ink Product... Loving the texture/overlays so far.. I’m on a texturing kick, so these are great!

80′s Music...Hmm.. I was born in 1981, so I was really a child of the 90s.. New Kids on the Block were totally the bomb!
What’s on your iPod? Would you believe I don’t have one? I’ve never gotten into it. I lose my cell phone on a monthly basis, I don’t know what I’d do with an ipod besides leave it somewhere and forget about it!
Travel Dreams… Anywhere off this continent.. I’d love to visit Australia or New Zealand.

PHEW – that’s a LONG title!
I’m SOOO excited to announce this first winner, BUT – I have to shout out to my girl, Lauren at Injader…she installed a great module for us in the store so you can roll your mouse over the thumbnails and they blow up for you! COOL HUH? I love that! Injader is awesome!
Okay, on to the winner – and P.S. – you are coming by tomorrow to play again, right? I have a photoshoot early morning so I won’t get to play until the afternoon. BOO – okay, the winner…I know, you’re saying, “Holly, c’mon already!”
