Type of Pictures You Take… Portraits (Weddings are my bread and butter) but there isn’t much I don’t love to shoot!
Your Camera… My favorite camera is my 5D
Your Favorite Camera Equipment… 580EX II flash, Gary fong diffuser, I wouldn’t even consider shooting a wedding without my QuantumTurbo Compact Battery Pack.
If you could only use one lens what would it be? 70-200 2.8 IS for weddings and 85 1.2 for everything else!
How do you stay motivated? There are so many things that motivate me. Life motivates me. I’m big into the fashion world and I try to bring that into my work. I love Flickr and that is a huge source of inspiration for me. I’m always checking out fellow photographers work and pushing the limits here and there. My 3 daughters are my daily inspiration, to say the least! You will find their faces plastered all throughout my work.
How long have you been a photographer? Professionally, almost 10 years. (I know, I know what you all must be thinking, she must have started when she was like what, 10 years old???) LOL Okay, so maybe I’m the only one that thinks that! Yikes, I can’t be this old! Thank goodness for Botox!
If you could choose anyone to do a photoshoot of you/your family, who would your choose? That’s a no brainer….Mark Ridout www.ridoutphotography.com He is my all time favorite photographer! He’s in Canada. So if I had to choose someone local, Joe Photo is sooo on my hit list! J
Magazine Must Have... you are kidding right??? Okay, you asked for it!
Jane, InStyle, and InStyle weddings, American Photo, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Ceremony OC and LA, Glamour, Los Angeles Weddings (from the publishers of LA Magazine), Shutterbug, Popular Photography and imaging, Rangefinder, modern bride, Elegant bride, my local publication called (the local dish) and my all time favorite….. Angels on Earth. And those are just the ones within reach at the moment…
Guilty Pleasure… I’m pretty sure that last question summed it up for you??? But if that’s not enough, Starbucks heads up the list along with Snyder’s honey mustard pretzel pieces, Diet coke, Velveeta cheese melted on popcorn and jolly ranches! Yes, I know I’m a freak.
What Do You Do When You First Wake Up? Pee
When It Rains… I grab my camera, give the kids their rain boots and we PLAY!
Who Do You Love? Who don’t I love? I’m not kidding. I love my husband our 3 daughters, my entire family but I also love my neighbors, my dog, my friends, my religious ed students, my daughters teachers, I really love the cute surfer boys that live across the street from us, my clients (well most of them J, my Flickr friends, my Godmother up in heaven, the people that work at pixel2canvas and anyone who holds the door open for me!
Favorite Pink Ink Product… Lightroom Presets… I love love love ALL of them! I’m like a kid in a toy store when I shop here!
Do You Read Your Horoscope? Not usually
Blog Addiction… nope… I have my own but haven’t kept up on it.
Tattoos… oh yes…. I’m a sucker for ink! I have 3 of my own, my husband has a couple and I would love to get more!

80′s Music…While in the 80’s I loved Madonna, Wham, Culture Club, Michael Jackson, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam (remember all cried out?) Now that I’m out of the 80’s I love, Bryan Adams, Tears for Fears, Oingo Boingo, Naked eyes (always something there to remind me) and my Favorite the B-52’s~ Love Shack! J
What’s on your iPod? It’s a major hodge podge A little of everything.
Travel Dreams… In my heart and soul I would love to do missionary work and meet and document the people in Namibia, which is one of the most desolate regions in Africa. Although warm and tropical will do.

How do you stay motivated?
Besides looking at photos and blogs, I like to try different things. Mix things up either with a different lens or a different setting. There are so many great neighborhoods in New York. I love when I get a call from a client who wants to shoot outdoors on the streets of NYC. I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. I also love when I walk into a cool apartment. I recently photographed 3 adorable boys who live in Tribeca. They had a huge dining room table which we made great use of.
How long have you been a photographer?
About 5 years ago I left a job in PR and went back to school at the International Center of Photography. After graduating from ICP’s certificate program and assisting two prominent wedding photographers, on camera and in their studio, I opened my own business. That was roughly 3 years ago.
If you could choose anyone to do a photoshoot of you/your family, who would your choose?
Hmmmmm….Tara Whitney, she is amazing and has inspired me in many, many ways, Barb Uil, Annie Liebowitz the list goes on and on.

What Do You Do When You First Wake Up?
After counting how many hours I got and wishing I could sleep longer, I give Conner a hug and feed him breakfast (unless my husbands on duty), make a latte and head to the gym.
When It Rains…
I love it if I dont have to go anywhere and can sit comfortably at my desk. In NYC rain can be a drag.
Who Do You Love?
My son Conner and my husband Brendan. My family. My girlfriends. I have a lot of girlfriends from all walks of my life who are all invaluable.
