Think Outside the Box

Have you thought about offering your clients something different and unique when you do a photo shot? Instead of offering the standard photo packages think about doing something outside of the box. Since you are taking the photos you have an endless supply of what you can do with them of your clients.Consider the following ideas to help market you to maybe attract a bigger range of clients:

Custom scrapbooks
Custom framed storyboard art
Calendars
Magnet Card/Announcements
Photo Invitations

Some truly unique and creative ideas:

Photo bracelets or purses
Custom home decor items customized with photos – pillows, blankets, vases, coasters, etc.
Canvas Art
Photo Color By Number

The Internet is a great resource to help find proper vendors to help you produce some of these items. It seem to be a growing trend to sport photos for keepsakes on lots everyday items.

Check out websites like: Shutterfly, Snapfish and Kodak just to name a new popular sites for more great ideas and options for your photography.

Most of the Pink Ink Studios designers offer special services like some of the ones mentioned above. Please see the Pink Ink Studios Forum for more details on who offers what.

I hope some of those ideas spurred on your creative thinking and will help you move forward in your business plans.

You’re invited to join! The subscriber area was built with a focus group and has been in place since November. We just opened up membership to our customers for $5 a month. It’s small, cozy and a chance to come into a welcoming environment to help you with your new business (or even if you’re considering starting your own business).

How to join: Click on “CLASSES” above. Then, register in the forum. You WILL need to approve your membership via a link that comes to your email account (check your spam). Then, once you’re all set up, you will click on USER CP in the forum’s header menu. Look for PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS on the left and follow through! It’s that easy! You must have a PayPal account in order for your recurring subscription to take place. Pink Ink Studios does not pro-rate memberships and you are responsible for canceling your own membership subscription through PayPal.
