Hi all, I am lovin’ all the new goodies going up in the store.  I had to buy Andy’s tilt action as soon as I saw it in the post below.  I am working on some senior goodies for senior month that will be up in a week.  Here is the first.

Also, I did some contract work for The Captured Life.  These are up in the store.

Tilt/Shift Action!

My favorite photographer (Vince Laforet) is famous for using a Tilt/Shift Lens. I love the look it creates! This new action will give you that popular look with out having to go buy a new lens! it works awesome on landscapes and on portraits!!!

Tech Support

Please note that tech support will be slightly limited the next couple of days while our support guy, Jake, welcomes home his best friend on leave from the Army in Iraq. We’re so happy he’ll be back in St. Louis tonight and can give him a HUGE hug!

Reminder

I always hate having to constantly say this – and please ignore me if you already know this. The biggest thing we find with our support is people that are replying to their sales ticket email. This is an accounting email checked probably only once a month. We ignore any support requests because the persons that often work with this email don’t handle support. We have an auto-responder on that email address that indicate contacting our regular tech support – which can be found by clicking on “CONTACT” on the website’s main menu. Or use the contact link in the store. Please don’t reply to your tickets or email receipts!

Our support staff answers email Monday through Friday a couple of times during the business hours which is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sometimes this means a delay in a support response depending on the time of day you send this in. We strive to answer your emails within 24 hours (excluding weekends). So, please only send one email. If you don’t hear back from us, there are various reasons you may not:

a) you may have supplied an invalid email address or your host is denying us to your server in reply

b) check your spam folder – some companies like yahoo and hotmail will not even put us in your spam folders – we recommend using gmail instead if you can

c) you didn’t email us using the contact link above – you sent it to the sales@ address which is our accounting email

When in doubt on a support issue, we recommend also checking out the FAQ section of our site to avoid delays. Our biggest support question is that items disappear from your cart when you add them…we have tried EVERYTHING to find a solution and no one seems to have one that works. So, we say, use Firefox – it just doesn’t fail.

Another issue we find is that people don’t get their download links when completing their sales. Click here and learn how to login and get them without having to contact us.

And, if you get a “failed” order – please check that it did in fact go through your PayPal account first – then email us using the Contact link with the date you placed your order so we can verify this manually in our PayPal account and our cart reports.

We appreciate your patience and support more than anything. Just a gentle reminder that computers and the Internet is not fail-proof but we try to put as much information as we can in the FAQ section to really make it a little more helpful for you.

Off-Topic – but Charity!

So, I honestly debated about posting something here at Pink Ink Studios but I know a lot of photographers also extend their love of photography into the scrapbooking world. Some even love animals so much that it doesn’t matter if they scrapbook them, they just have awesome and caring hearts.

For our readers who are unaware, I am a graphic artist as well as a photographer and design scrapbooking products including papers, stickers, stamps, rubons, etc. all for a company called, Pink Paislee, LLC out of the Kansas City area. I thoroughly enjoy it! Prior to that I designed digital scrapbooking products. I sometimes dabble in it and give things away free on my blog because I love doing it.

Last year, we created a charity kit to help benefit the ASPCA – an organization for the humane treatment of animals here in the U.S. We ran it for 30 days and raised $2500. You got a digital scrapbooking kit and did something good at the same time. I opted to organize it again this year and we’re currently mid-month in selling this year’s kit.
