This summer is shaping up to be a hot one! Like fry an egg on the sidewalk kind of hot. I now remember why I got married in January, but I think summer weddings are absolutely gorgeous! The wedding season is busy with shoots and wedding albums are to follow. Check out Kim Hill’s new wedding album templates. This one includes text and papers and makes it easy to put together a beautiful album.

Another great wedding product from Tara is a thank you card. Your bride and groom will love sending out a personalized note with one of the images you’ve captured on their big day. Customize this one right down to their wedding colors. Gift certificates are also nice to have on hand. These make great gifts for showers and upcoming fall weddings. Thanks Carrie!

Carrie also has a fun portrait session pack in her store. This is a great resource … check it out! Wrap up those sessions with fun products, including this circle storyboard from Jackie. Mariella also has some photo masks that can dress up storyboards or albums. Try these with senior images and see what you come up with!

Watch for upcoming sales and the release of more new products! Have a great week … stay cool!

Happy Thursday! I’m hoping this post finds you photographers as busy as the Pink Ink designers are. It amazes me how many new products are added to our site each week.
Just because Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I’m going to start off with a few more Valentine products. Hello January … where did you go?
Tara has a great Valentine card that is also a calendar. Love it!

I’ve added a few Valentine cards to my store (MadiLu Designs). This one might be my favorite as you can use it for boys or girls and I happen to have two of each

Looking for something smaller? Tisha has a sweet Valentine wallet set worked in with a few every day ideas.

OK … fun idea from Holly’s store. These are Red Lips are printed out and used as props for your clients. Add these to your sessions and you’re sure to get a lot of smiles! Very cute way to dress up a Valentine card.

To follow up with a similar product, try her Bubble Thought printouts. I’m sure your clients will love that you’re reading their minds!

Looking for ways to improve your workflow? Amy has created a set of actions to help you resize your images for web and blog. Efficiency rocks! Seriously … check out Kim’s mix-and-match book templates while you’re at it and you will become the Jedi of workflow organization!

Not only is it the season of love, it’s a great time to be finding your senior reps for 2011. Carrie has a rep card in her store that will help you spread the word! Speaking of seniors, Heather has created a Teen Angst Bundle. Check out her store for more Teen Angst products. Do I date myself if I suddenly have Nirvana songs running through my head??

Have a great week! As always, keep checking back for great giveaways and more information. Visit our forums. You never know when cool goodies are hiding in there!

Holy update! Lots going on at Pink Ink this past week. Holly held her Open House at her new studio … congrats to her!! The fabulous Amy Kant was in attendance … awesome! I (MadiLu Designs) took a quick trip to the Imaging USA expo in Nashville. My head is buzzing with ideas! In the meantime, the designers were busy stocking up the store.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so keep checking as we’re constantly adding new products for said holiday. Like this one … Carrie’s Heart Storyboard. It does double-duty. Use it for Valentine’s Day and after that you’ve got yourself a wedding template.

Tegan has a cute Valentine card. I love me some pink!

Our new designer, Tisha, is blowing me away with her new products! Not only are these Valentine bookmarks super cute, check out her Tranquil marketing set. Many, many pieces to see, including this 5×5 digital delivery template.

My friend, Kim Hill, has been working on more mini accordion templates. You can have 10 images in these. Not only do they make great client gifts, but most labs will print in sets of 3 and you can keep one for a studio sample.

Mariella also has an accordion mini book that you can’t pass up. I saw lots of mini books at Imaging USA. They seem to be a hit!

Enough chit-chat from me … start shopping and have a great week!

Have you seen Holly’s new storyboard? It’s ginormous! Yes … someone has been watching a little too much Elf lately. Holly has created a 30×30 mega storyboard. How great would this be as a wall collage of one of your sessions?

With 2010 just around the corner, it’s time to get organized and set for the new year. Carrie created these CD calendars and to-do lists. Awesome. I’m a firm believer in to-do lists. These would make great gifts for clients too. Holly has created a set of 4×6 Build Your Own Calendars. Love these too … lots of possibilities.

If you follow Holly’s photography business, you’ll love her senior work. This splash page definitely speaks to a senior crowd. Also fun for kids and families and if you want to make an impact in the wedding industry. Something different … fun and fresh!

Last, but not least … it’s the giving season. If you are a “super-last-minute-have-no-idea-what-to-buy-today” type of person, grab these gift certificates. Now. No more procrastinating
From everyone at Pink Ink Studios, have a safe and happy holiday. Thank you for your business and support this year. Looking forward to great things in 2010.
*When I say great, I REALLY mean GREAT! We’ve got awesome giveaways coming up. Watch for clues and details. You won’t want to miss it!!
Featured Elements – Labels

This month, as you may already know, our featured products at Pink Ink Studios are none other than Elements. Remember, you can save 10% on all Elements purchases this month! Discount taken after you add items to your cart.
I wanted to show you a few of the labels that you can find in our Elements section of the store. I love labels because I have the ability to be a little more creative with some of our other items. Many times, you can find them blank, but other times you can find them with some words on them.
- Use them to cover up an element on a template you don’t want to show. Maybe you don’t want it to say “Merry Christmas” but instead want it to say “Happy Holidays” – well here’s a way you can do that!
- Add them to a storyboard for another feature. For this one, I used Traci’s 10 x 20 storyboard and my Ornamental labels. I highlighted the quote she already had by placing one of the labels behind it. You add some of our papers to the storyboard if you’re feeling really creative.

- Use card templates that are blank, so you can build your own cards. Kim Hill has a few of these blank cards that you can build yourself. Makes it great to let your inner designer come out. Just add some of our papers or labels to them for a real unique touch. For this one, I added her Oval Labels to it.

Take a moment to see how you might use some of our labels in the store. Share your stories and pictures with us and maybe we will choose to feature you and give you a gift certificate to the store!

I promised. I delivered. I won’t lie and pretend it wasn’t down to the wire though! I’ve got a few new products in my store this week.
I’m calling myself out on being a design nerd. Pantone announced the 2010 Color of the Year yesterday. Drumroll please … 15-5519 Turquoise. Hoping for red next year, friends, as turquoise is a bit much to type 100 times.
Here is a new storyboard set and a 5×7 card in, you guessed it, turquoise! If you’re not a fan of next year’s color, these can be customized with the color of your choice. I thought it might be fun to do a set of storyboards. Find your moms with little girls. Yes … each will need one of her own.

Carrie is offering a four pack of announcements in her store. These are so sweet. If I had to pick one, well … let’s just say I can’t. That’s why it’s a great thing she’s offering as the set!

Heather has stocked her shop with more iPhone wallpaper. I so want to give a big “grrrrr” when I see these. I LOVE this set and you get all eight! Come on … live on the wild side! OK, I’ll stop now before I further embarrass myself, friends or family.

If you’re still doing holiday cards, get your templates now. It’s almost here!!!!
Have a great week!!

Heather has added a set of backgrounds that will catch the eye of seniors. Great colors in this set! These would work great in senior albums or as part of a wall template.

Looking to dress up your blog? You’ve got to check out these Blog Preview templates by Carrie.

Traci added a little flair to her shop … easily add sunflare to your images.

Don’t forget to check out our holiday templates!! It’s not too late to get your clients to wrap up their card orders.
